James "Rick" Herrick Ward, II

1968 -1974
I served with MACV Airborne Detachment Team 162 advising the 7th battalion of the Vietnamese Airborne Division 11/69 to 12/70. Received bronze star w/v and oak leaf cluster, Army Commendation w/v, Purple heart, air medal, Vietnamese cross of gallantry, Vietnamese honor medal Combat Infantry Badge, Vietnamese Jump wings. Prior to deployment I received Army jump wings and Ranger tab. Last duty station 82nd Airborne Division Bronze Star and Senior jump wings.
