Robert "Bob" Wesley Sexton
August 22, 1920 - October 25, 1980 (Age 60)
Robert Wesley Sexton was born in Portland, Oregon, but his family moved to Bakersfield, California when he was a child. He was drafted in California and then stationed at Camp Toccoa in the first group to train at Currahee Mountain in the paratroop division. He served in the 506 Airborn Division. He met his wife, Evelyn Loudermilk, while stationed in Toccoa, and they married in 1943. He went overseas for two years and with the victory over Europe, he returned to the US and took Evelyn to CA to visit his family before being shipped out to Japan. Luckily, the war ended and he did not have to go to Japan.
