Estee Thompson

Sgt. Estee Thompson of Alto is listed as gunner on a Flying Fortress. He
was inducted into the Army Air Forces in January, 1943 and received his basic training at Keesler Field, Miss.; attended aircraft armament school at Buckley and Lowery Field, Colorado; receiving his aerial gunner’s wings at the Army Gunnery School at McCarran Field, Las Vegas Nevada. Selected as an instructor in the Gunnery School he spent four weeks at Buckingham Field, Ft. Myers, Fla., he was able to spend a few days at home while returning to Las Vegas. He is now an instructor at the Yuma Army Air Field in Arizona.
