Bynum Perkins

October 25, 1927 - March 18, 2019 (Age 91)

Bynum Perkins enlisted in the US Army on February 20, 1946. He served as a pharmacist technician at Fort Eustis, Virginia. After concluding his military service, he returned to Georgia and completed a degree at the Southern School of Pharmacy (now Mercer University School of Pharmacy). In 1961, Bynum Perkins opened his own pharmacy, Perkins Pharmacy, at 1504 Peachtree Street. The pharmacy became an Atlanta fixture for over 3 decades, closing in 1997.
