Dean Charles Swanson

Dean Swanson attended the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland from 1954-1957. Upon graduation he was offered a commission with the United States Air Force during a time when the Air Force was in need of new fighter pilots. Dean served the United States Air Force as a F-100 Fighter Pilot from 1957-1963 and obtained the rank of Captain. During his service to the country Dean was stationed throughout the United States, the Philippines and Turkey. Dean was favorably discharged in 1963 and moved to Cornelia, GA to manage a family owned business along with his wife Kay.
