Garnett Lamon Burrell

June 20, 1926 - April 15, 2023 (Age 96)

Mr. Burrell was a United States Army Veteran having proudly served his country during World War II with the 813th Tank Destroyer Battalion Company C in the European Campaign. His division was attached to the 79th Division in the Rhur Valley and the Battle of the Rhine River. After the Rhine River crossing, the battalion was attached to the 101st Airborne liberating Kaufering IV, a Subcamp of Dachau, ending the campaign in Berchtesgaden, Germany. After the war, he was attached to the 42nd Division in Transportation until his discharge in July 1946.
